What?!?

Its okay I guess. There's better.

Mortal Treason is the only one I know off the top of my head

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

PMFS breaking up was the worst thing ever. If I don't make it to one of their farewell shows I'm gonna cry.

Balance of silence

Got back together a few weeks ago and are touring/about to to again

They're from my area, so seeing them play with huge bands and tour all the time is pretty gnarly.

Pro Team was disappointing.
Shotpointblank, although they hadn't played for a while, was annoying.
Alleged, cause I never got to see them.
In Name and Blood. Such a good local band to go see. Vocalist's in the Seduction now though, so that's okay.

On the subject of Pro Team, I don't get the sudden hate for them that's been happening lately. Weird.

prom queen

i know a lot of people think they're boring, but they were the band that got me back into metal, so there's a bit of a kind of sentimental thing there.
+ i still love their music anyways

Don't worry, soon enough CSWS will embrace them the same way Parkway were.

They went full circle.
Basically this is the progression:

-Parkway started off small because Prom Queen were better.

-Then they became the next massive thing because they released Don't Close Your Eyes and people realised that these guys could seriously bring the m0sh.

-Then they released Killing with a Smile, and they became fairly damn popular. People who were apparently in the know with HARCAW started to hate them because all the little kids did.

-Then because they were so popular, their fanbase actually at themselves from the inside and everyone hated liking them.

-Then it became popular again to HATE the people that HATE the people that LIKE parkway, and people started to like Parkway again.

-And now they've released a new album and I have a sneaking suspicion this will all repeat itself.

When did they break up?

When they release this next LP or EP or whatever, they are completely done. So they will be done soon

This is non-hardcore related but forty years ago today Woody Guthrie died. If you don't know who he was, go to Wikipedia and search him. Read, learn, respect.

Some kid said they got back together. Their myspace page has a bunch of tour dates starting in mid-October. But I hope it's true, I love that band.

The split up must be pretty recent though. I played a show with them in June or July.

It's true, we were supposed to play a show with them and then they broke up, and they our friend who was putting the show on said they got back together like a month later....I think they were avoiding us
