What skill level are you specifically at, and what type of metal are you looking for?

Btw, I'd suggest deleting one of your two threads.

"holy wars...the punishment due" is also good.

Nevermore - Psalm of Lydia.

Use the rec thread next time.
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

the guitaring has metal elements whether you like it or not the vocals dont, are you going to be singing or playing guitar? and uh... Under A Serpent Sun by At the Gates has various techniques, from tremelo to 4 string chord playing, to triplet 8ths, 16ths, 8ths, some string skipping, harmony playing -lead, if you play both melodies at once- and helps build speed, personally that's the first song i ever learned and it helped alot

Actually that song would be perfect. It was one of the first songs I ever youtubed... and then I decided I didn't want to become a bedroom player haha. But it is metal and does have some... a challenging riff in it that takes a lil' bit of practice. I'd actually go for that. Or, just check out a lot of Death songs. The solos are very nice, and the riffs are awesome.

Laid to Rest
Meh, haha not too sure why I'm posting this haha, but the song is kickass

EDIT: Whoa lmao, it's odd to see me old guitar, havn't watched that in a long time.

lmfao

I truly am my own redeemer
Blindly I follow none but myself
Without fear I am
Unhallowed be my name

Myself am hell and hell I shall unleash
I laugh at Thee to scorn
Mock Thy majesty
Pour forth my chalice ov victory
