The truth is, im pretty handy at soldering, ive been doing it for a while but my experience with circuit level design and soldering is limited (im a comp engineer major in college, but sadly ive just gotten through most of my core classes ahah)

but anywayz, I learn pretty quick and would definately practice soldering for this. But anyways heres what I was looking at
http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/booster25.JPG

And this seems like a more simple booster pedal that I could use. Im gonna sell my deville soon, and getting a B-52, so a booster pedal seems like it would make a nice addition. But im not to familiar with the terminology.

So if someone could help me out with a few things, i hope im posting all this correctly to not piss anyone off...

But from what I remember, the large triangles points downwards is to ground. The dots are connection/ solder points.

The zigzag lines are... resistors right? and are the double bars transistors? What about the bars, with little triangles with circles around them? And the L and A on the pot names and values im assuming are for linear and audio tapered?

And if you follow the right side up to the volume 100k-a pot. The wire runs into a triangle and a zigzag (which is a resistor right?) Doe it matter which end or side I connect it to? its just kinda running into the middle of the zigzag...

and in the top left, with all the bars and 9v +thing. I take it thats where you connect the positive to the circuit board? But it runs into the input cable, I didnt think you where suppose to do that...

But please exscuse my minimal terminology, I really do want to learn how to do this kind of stuff, and this seems like some of the easier ones ive seen. But thanks! appreiate any responses

i don't know what that booster is, but thats way too many components for just a booster.

here's some i know of, which are decent.

yea. i made the stratoblaster today, it was quite amazing. i made the LPB before as my first build, it was easy.

and what kind of board r u gonna be using? perf? vero? or r u gonna buy a PCB?

yea, ill probably use that beginner friendly version, haha. But ill probably use a perforated board to begin with, and maybe if I decide to do some more advance stuff maybe a PCB.

But the perforated one will be a lot easier to start with I think. But also I was wondering where you could just get a pre-drilled metal enclosure, I looked through the stickies, but I didnt see anywhere to buy just a pre drilled metal enclosure. Maybe I just missed it.

anywayz, i am sorry that I dont know to much about this stuff but I would like to learn. Heres there parts i found on mouser, maybe someone can tell me if they are usualble or not.
