Iron Maiden. They're still around, y'know.

I'd rather no band too much like a previous one as well.

Iron Maiden...

But the next two in line are Children of Bodom and In Flames.

However, Children of Bodom kind of butchered it on their cover of Aces High. It's nothing without Bruce's singing and the guitar tone was way off and it was WAYYY too fast.

Hah. CoB totally slaughtered their cover version of "The Trooper." I hated it.

That was Sentenced, not Bodom

If you are referring to a recorded version you've downloaded, CoB have never recorded it.

At the Gates... they did alot with dual guitar harmonies. And +1 to In Flames, if it's old/come clarity In Flames.

Ah, makes more sense now. I definitely expected more from CoB when I downloaded that, but since it's not them, it's okay. Thanks for telling me that.

Just to let you know CoB never covered the trooper, For It States ""Please note that the band NEVER recorded Iron Maiden's The Trooper or Europe's Final Countdown"" On their website but i think they're the closest

Iced Earth?

Iced Earth have been around since 1984, I think. About the same as Maiden.

In Flames, Arch Enemy (the middle of We Will Rise or My Apocalypse in particular) Bodom, Waking the Fallen/City of Evil(some of the songs) era A7X with the use of lead guitar harmonies, 3 inches of Blood, and alot of Power Metal has a similar formula, big operatic vocals, triplets minor keys and guitar harmonies

3iob, with their dual harmonies, is pretty much like Maiden.

He was trying to be a troll. He succeeded.

Anyways, I'd say Wintersun but honestly there's tons of great metal acts out there that you can compare with Maiden.

Iced Earth! It's pretty much a mix of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and American thrash metal.

And In Flames and Iron Maiden sound nothing alike? And Children of Bodom!?
