What kind of FR?

The LFR on the MH400 could be dodgy...

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

If you like how the explorer plays go for it. IMO it is a higher quality guitar than the esp.

If the LFR is a Schaller, then go for the Explorer.

yeah i want the explorer i just want to know what someone thinks about it thats played it..

That looks like some dodgy custom shop model so it could be completely different, but Ive played a normal Gibby Explorer and i thought it was well nice. Very comfortable body shape and had quite a nice neck, not too fat but not too thin either. I even liked the stock pickups. Sounded awesome through a JCM2000 DSL in my local guitar shop.

That's most certainly a Custom Shop explorer.

With the split diamond inlays and ebony board.

I can't believe you're asking us, who wants a lame-ass ESP, get the 15 year old custom shop Gibson!

wow! go for the explorer even if it doesn't have a good floyd bridge. At that price it would be worth it to swap out the floyd for a good one and still get a great deal

I'm a loner out here, but I would take the ESP for sure...
They have that tone I like... don't kill me guys...
I also don't like the tone of older Gibsons...

You don't like the tone of older gibsons?

Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Who, Jeff Beck, need I say more?

I bet you hate chocolate and sex too.

Of the bands listed I only like Led Zeppelin, and i'm still not fond of their guitar tone....

And the chocolate sex thing...

I'm diabetic... no for the chocolate!

Then I'm sorry, but you have poor taste.

Again, I'm sorry, you are beyond saving and will surely burn for eternity.
