I know this is a controversial topic, but I just had to bring it out in the open.

Personally, I usually only check Control Panel and New Posts. On rare occasion, I'll browse the first page of Musician Talk, or the R&R or S&L forums if I'd be posting something there.

Btw, if you only check Control Panel, then the laws of astrophysics dictate that you cannot be posting in this thread. So beat it! Just beat it! No one wants to be defeated...

I read through threads I think look interesting and maybe post a response. I then keep track of the threads I've posted in and look at them when there's a new post, partly because I've marked them out as interesting, partly because someone might have responded to what I said.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Browsing.

How would you find new threads through the CP?

You wouldn't. That's why the poll allows more than one option. If you use a specific device to find a thread then do you keep going back to the one you've posted in?

I used to browse when I used to post here. Now I just click New Threads in the hope that someone will see my name in an active thread and remember…

Ah, for new threads, I browse around. For posting in threads I already posted in, or to look for old threads I posted in, I go looking around the CP.

New threads with interesting titles, plus I'd like to check up on threads I find interesting (like the photothread).

I also search my name now and then. Sometimes I find it in very weird contexts...

I just look around the forums, and look for threads that are interesting to post in (or for the hell of it) like this one.
