I didn't know exactly where to put this, so here it goes.

I'm trying to learn how to scream for my own music, is there a way i can do it without damaging my throat? Not a really high pitched scream just.. A deep hardcore type scream.
My gear

Marshall Lead 15 Ministack
Crate GX600 head (with the cabinet)
Ibanez RG 350EX (Customized with EMG 81-85 pickups)
Washburn (discontinued model)
Esteban Acoustic
Ibanez EW20ASNT

Be warned. Many a good singer has permanently damaged their voice by not doing the "scream" correctly. Even Matallica's James Hatefield can tell you this.

From the Metallica web site...

"James' voice changed because he finally took singing lessons and got a vocal coach. While recording the cover song "So What" during the "Black Album" sessions, James lost his voice. He realized the damage done and decided he needed a vocal coach to ensure his voice would last into the future."
