Personally,I like them.

I'm more of a Folk/Viking-Metal guy though,so the extra strings higher up add to any acoustic breaks I do,while I have the lower individual ones for heavier distorted verses and all that.

It's like a 12 string guitar, only, it has 10.

That's what he was getting at, soloing on it would be difficult, and wouldn't sound very good, unless you're one hell of a picker.

I can easily pluck one string on a 12 string, although i don't own one so i don;t get much practice, therefore i sometimes hit the wrong one. with practice it's doable

i guess that means i can't do it easily though

I should have said that better.

It would be difficult to do (vertical) solo runs, trem picking, or alternate string/string skipping stuff at an uppaced tempo, bends on the G strings would be difficult as well. I dunno how well pinch harmonics would turn out either...

You're putting in more effort to play what you normally could with single string stuff. You have a larger pick motion, and you have to use more finger than usually.

You don't need to worry about the quality, a lot of the newer B.C. Rich models are amazing, just the bronze series that suck, and a few others.

if the bc rich is over £350 ($600 cus they get them cheaper) then it's probably pretty decent quality

Quite true, I meant to mention that before.
