Hello fellow pit dwellers!

My mate is trying to teach himself canon rock brave sod. He has this piece of tab which goes;

PM PM PM PM PM PM PM PM PM PM PM PM
Q E E E E E E Q E E E E E E Q E E E E E E
-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------------|
-------------8--7--------|-------------5--7--------|-------------2-----3-----|
--7----------------------|-------------------------|--4----------------------|
--7----------------------|--7----------------------|--4----------------------|
--5----5--5--------5--5--|--7----------------0--0--|--2----2--2-----2-----2--|
-------------------------|--5----5--5--------------|-------------------------|

I'm a noob on terminology. What do the PM, Q and E mean?

Ta.

PM - would be palm muted i believe - i am not sure by looking at that tab if it is...

and Q and E are the different types of notes, quarters/eighths.

PM=Palm mute
Q and E represent different lengths of times
