Could anyone recommend a bass song that has a tune? that sounds stupid but im something that you can just pick up and play and it sounds cool. The only example i can think of is something like the main Rock The Casbah riff. Thanks For The Reccomendations In Advance

I'm assuming you mean a melody?

Californication by RHCP is always good.

The Philosopher by Death

To Bid You Farewell by Opeth

Stevie Wonder- I Wish. Really just a simple walking riff, but strangely I can't stop playing it.

and then the ever mentioned Pink Floyd- Money. It's apparently a really catchy riff. I have never played, nor ever heard this line. I'm seeing how long my will can last against curiosity.

Anaesthesia is by Metallica, notably Cliff Burton.

Check out Solar Groove by John Myung if you have a 6 stringer.

"I Wish" is an amazing song, my school's jazz band covered it and I played it. As simple as it is, it has a great "tune" as the TS called it, it's very recognizable. Also, it's a fun song to throw some fills into (in addition to the ones that are already there). Our school also added a solo section into it in which the guitar, bari(tone) sax, and trumpets all got a full 12 bars and then traded fours, and it sounded SO funky. Lots of rests, hammer ons, all kinds of stuff. Basically, LEARN IT

I'm figuring that song out right now!

The only tricky part is the ending where it's all off time. It really pisses me off.

I want to get a looper pedal so I can put all the bass parts together

Yeah that's the only thing I haven't figured out yet.

Where would I be able to find one of those?

I agree, Personally I don't consider it a "song", just alot of guitarded sloppy wanking under a ridiculous amount of distortion and wah and a horrible tone. If somebody else disagrees, Flame me if you desire

B.B. King's Stand By Me (but Sean Kingston's rip off that he put on Beautiful Girls sounds better.. same melody, just different tuning.)(Sean Kingston sucks.. just so everyone knows)
