I was over at my friend's house last night, and I saw that he had this LP copy with the name Electra on the headstock. He told me that it was Lindsay Buckingham's guitar, which I'm somewhat inclined to believe because I live in the same area where he grew up.

Anyway, the guitar was missing a string, but I decided to try it out anyway. I brought over my Blues Junior and tried it out. I was surprised by how good it felt, and it sounded really nice. It had a two-tone sunburst finish.

So anyway, does anybody know anything about Electra? Next time I go over there I might change the strings

Elektra guitars were distributed by St. Louis Music Supply back in the late 70's and early 80's. Also known as Crate. Vaguely recall they may have been made in Japan. SLM got out of guitars about 1980. Some of the guitars were ok, some were crap. There is a small demand as collectables. Not the same as JJ Electra.
