ive been playing for about a year and ive learnd some songs and stuff but i only started lessons last term/quarter whatever you wanna call it and my new guitar teacher dosnt realy give me lots of scales/chords and stuff like that to practise at home... what would you recomend i start learning? links to vids or something for online lessons would help to

First of all, learn how to practice the right way. Go to guitarprinciples.com. Better if you buy the book. Also, video lessons by popular players like John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteem, Paul Gilbert, and many more helps a lot in terms of technique and style. But those are kinda advanced stuff.

Theory-wise, learn all about intervals first. That'll help you analyse and construct scales and chords and what not later on. Then move onto learning the major scale, and after that onto chord construction. That should keep you busy for a while.
