From a series of poems I wrote called 'Ranting of an empty soul'

The Actor

In shadows' deceit I hide and play
the story of my life
in sequences disjoint and broken
amongst flowers with serpent leaves
I break the stems with a father's love
and scatter seeds in their ruins

In shadows' deceit they'll never know
to find me in the company of mutes
Look! The vines are twining around my feet
New life sprouts in the evening
No, 'tis but the mourning of a loss

This is the garden in which I play
Wary to the bone, forgotten by hope
Destroyed in the end
Disjoint and broken
Scenes of my life

what type of poem are you aiming for here?

Thank you very much :>

I've been experimenting with more loose rhyming and disjunct paragraphs. The whole series is dedicated to the idea of inventing tragedy in the mind. The act of making up things to be sad about.
