Down this war-torn street I run
Desecrated by the bombs
The rounds echos everlasting
But yet we choose to live on
Through the children's cries
The tears running fromn their eyes
I was just a normal man
And after this war I had plans
Wrote letters to my lady
Hoping she wouldn't forget her man
But we're expendable
I wonder where we even stand...
I'd die before I know...
Will we ever make it back home?
Or end up under another tombstone..
I liked this more as I read it. Pretty good wording, but not too much of an original topic. Overall, good job.
