Im not sure how acurate you are in saying anyone on that list is R&B... sorry, just stating my opinion on that. To me R&B is a dead genre, much like emo is to MCR...

I remember quite a few of Jay-Z's songs had a full band. Can't think of any songs in particular, though

It's hardly R 'n' B, but the Love Machine (by Girls Aloud) riff is awesome fun to play .

especially since I have evidence of the original post, lol

HAHAHAHAHA I love you

also, I forgot to mention that I USED to listen to so called R&B back in the early 00's and I out grew it. Anyways everything that goes out now is just the same generic stuff... that I just call "Genericrap" that also goes along with 80's hair metal, and 70's hippie stuff....

Tupac- Thugz Mansion Acoustic.

Seriously, what a beautiful song.

Moreover:

When Can I See You Again by Babyface. Ah it's so good.
Rendezvous by Craig David (if you consider him pop or R&B I don't know but that's a good song)
So Sick by Ne-Yo

I wanna say Days Go By by Dirty Vegas but it's not R&B at all, I might be thinking of it cause it gives an R&B-ish vibe when played on the guitar.

The only thing is these songs are quite simple guitar-wise so pull it together with a good strong singer .

I might be back with more, cool thread topic by the way.

Well , none of that is actually R'n'B. But I would say Thugz Mansion , and maybe Hey Ya? Although that's not much of a guitar riff, just chords.

You could also try that 7 days song (is it called 7 days) by Craig David, that has a nice guitar part.
There is poetry in despair.

dude modern ghetto crap is not r and b no matter how hard people try to call it that it just isnt listen to some r and b back when there were actual bands

^Yeah I guess that was the most obvious Craig David song, actually most of his songs have very nice guitarwork, look into the live versions of Fill me In and Walking Away, they're quite lovely and both acoustic.
