The only thing crushing about an MG is it's ability to kill your ear for tone and thin your wallet if you're willing to waste the extra $50 for the marshall name.

I like the single channel JCM800. The dual channel is probably more versatile, but I like the simplicity of it. It was intended to be a straight up rock amp anyway, so the no frills fits it nicely. The 900 seems too harsh for my tastes.
#25
i'm surprised there wasn't an "orange rocker" option on the poll
i'd say the jcm800 2205 or a plexi...though i haven't played enough plexis to be able to say which one.
#26
Yeah I would have voted for the Silver Jubilee if it was up there, but I think the JCM800 is close to it

I also think and heard that Vintage Moderns were pretty good. Slash used them for recording Libertad is what Ive heard.

I actually think the MF350 is even worse than MG because with the MGs you usually have the excuse of not having played long enough to know what sounds good. MF350 is a serious gear that costs loads and sounds crap.

I voted for the boost channel JCM800 I have one and it's killer (not as good as the Laney tho )
Gear:
Gibson SG '61 RI
Fender MIJ 62RI Tele
PRS Singlecut SE
Epiphone Sheraton II

Just noticed the years are all wrong... The models didn't come out in straight distinct order like that, lots of models overlapped. For example dual channel 800s were introduced in '82 while the single channel ones were still in production. Check this site for Marshall models and the production dates: http://www.drtube.com/marshall.htm

Gibson SG '61 RI

PRS Singlecut SE
Epiphone Sheraton II
Ibanez AEG10NT

Oh god there are 12 people out there stupid enough to vote for the MG. I hope I never get them as a Jury.

I voted MG just to be an ass, I'm sure they were all joke votes as mine was.

Actually, he plays with JCM800's- he simply endorses Marshall which include (sadly) MG's

1974 and JTM45. My two favourite Marshalls aren't actually Marshalls at all. Go figure.
