Now I looked at this guitar Tab.

usually tabs are worked out for easier playing but the same sounding notes.

just because its on a different part of the fretboard doesnt mean its wrong.

I've seen John Frusciante of RHCP Play scar tissue live 5 times, and he played it different the first 3 times.

Theres more than just one place to play a single not on a guitar
On a 24 fret guitar you can play the same note 12 times in different positions

And bands will often rework what they do etc and everything just for interest or whatever

that's because the guy who is playing it is making it look easy because he has PRACTICED it and I suggest you do the same

Start playing it really slow (I know it's tempting to play it fast) and get all of the notes correct first and you will eventually be able to play it like that

i am not talking about where on fret or what ever,
I talking about techinque, he strumming up and down and looks like he playing power chords or something.
But from that tab it looks like you have pluck each string really fast, which I can kinda do but if theres an easier way.

If I don't know the correct way to play something how am I ment practice it.

hes probably (without looking at the video) hitting each string muted as well as the string he's playing to fatten it up a bit.

This is usually done on fast paced riffs, for example, Can't Stop by RHCP uses the same technique.

+1 you HAVE to start slow or you'll get frustrated and loose concentration and end up walking away feeling really annoyed.

Looking again, you are right, the tab is inaccurate because I am certain he is playing more than one note in the beginning. I will edit the tab for you in a sec to sound a little more like it

I believe it sounds more like the track this way, but if you ask me, it's harder to play this way....

D|------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------|
F|-----10--10---9---10-12---10-10-10--------------|
C|------------------------------------------------| x4
G|-----8---8----7---8--10---8--8--8---------------|
C|-0-0---0---0-0---0--0----0----------------------|

All he is doing is adding the 5th to fatten up the sound, no big deal really

I'm going to stop you right there. He isn't adding fifths at all, those are octaves.

Sorry, my mistake, it was a long day yesterday.

Regardless of what is being added, that is still how he is playing it
