Hey,

Im looking at getting an epiphone flying v at some stage and they look great, my only concern is whether it's going to be unbalanced (like, is it neck heavy and will it slide down if i dont have my hands on it). I know a lot of the other epis have that problem, and some of the reviews mention they are a little neck heavy.

So if anyone has one let me know.

Also it's probably going to be one of the normal flying v's as opposed to the Korina one.

i have the normal flying v and it's very neck heavy
you only really notice it when your hands aren't on it though
just get used to sliding it down before it does it on it's own and hits something

it's because of the shape, all v's do that...

2 options:
- Hold the guitar very high, make the strap as short as possible (and look like steve urkle :P )
- Get straplocks and a good leather strap, leather has more grip

btw, V's are pretty killer when you're hangin' 'em down low.. it looks cool, and you really can pound on it

Get the Korina one, The Epiphone Korina V and Explorer are absolutely excellent for the price, the non-Korina are pretty mediocre.
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

My faded V seems to be balanced fairly well. I do have a nice cloth strap though which does have a little grip to it, but I have no problem with balance whatsoever.
