Currently I am trying to practise speed picking, but it feels like my technique is clumsy and cumbersome. When I'm playing fast, my wrist is kind of bopping up and down with each pick, and this drains my endurance. It's kind of hard to explain, but I think my technique is wrong. So I'm wondering what the correct technique for speed picking is, should the movements come more from your hand, from your fingers or from your whole arm?

Definitely NOT whole arm.

Your wrists...and possibly fingers moving up and down for pick movements. Your wrist itself shouldn't be moving up and down, but your hand obviously (which is attached to it :p

wrong forum. electric guitar forum is better.

I thought about it, but came to the conclusion that the electric guitar forum is for guitar related stuff, not technique.

don't use your wrist, you'll get tired quicker. use your forearm.
