I have the ****tiest amp ever, a Peavey Rage 158 15 watter. It just sucks, but I have no money for the time being so I was wondering if I could get a little help with a decent hard rock or metal tone. And by metal I mean just like, System of a Down...a chunky, thick tone. If not, at least something that will make it okay? Thanks for everything. Oh and I am the rhythm guitarist for a band, so I will need something to maybe cut through a bit.

i had the same problem; a distortion pedal works good though

Edit- as long as you have the pre gain up all the way, and the mid tone down a bit its ok
