Through some classified ads I found a guy selling a 1970s Silverface Fender Twin Reverb and a Musicman 212 HD150 amp together for £550. Both work fine according to the owner, but they look a bit worn due to gigging. However he's around the London area, which would either mean an entire day (10 hours there and back) spent on the road, or £200 on a courier. So do you think I should go for it?

Do you really need both? They are definitely great amps, but they almost certainly need some maintenance work done; which will add another 100 squid (or more) unless you can do it yourself.

I'm actually planning to sell the one I like least to the other guitarist in my band, or if eBay if he changes his mind.
