I really like Jorn Lande on it, being my second favourite singer. I really hope Roy Kahn is gonna sing some ayreon in the future.

btw. the binary code means Y which stand for some planet named foverer of something like that.

^I thought it was olollool in 1337...
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

OLOLOLOL. Add up the binary digits: 64+16+8+1. It's ASCII 89, which is the letter 'Y.' But I can see how you thought it was ololol.

Judging by the voice clips (esp. that of Gildenlow's), this will undoubtedly be the best album of 2008. ****ing epic.

make that top 3 2008 (top 1 in my case).
I like the anneke van gierbergen (ex-the gathering) soundclip a lot. Really original letting someone sing "0...1...0...0..etc."

Arjen has set the bar so high for himself with the Human Equation, I hope he can match it again.

and I think thats kind of good.. That way he can't disappond us.. Because that will mean..

/Fail..

I don't think he is able to fail...

I can't ****ing wait, imo he is one of the biggest masterminds of metal....

It would be great is arjen lucassen, steve wilson, devin townsend and michael ackerfeld composed an album together :P

Townsend and Akerfeldt were both on Human Equation. I don't think they composed though.

Anything released by Ayreon been good so far. May not top The Human Equation or Into the Electric Castle (my fav.), but it won't disappoint.

Wow, damn nice cover!

And to that guy above me somewhere..
You can't even spell their names.. And now, they didn't compose anything..
Though Devin did his own lyrics and vocals melodies..

DevOn Townsend was spelled correctly. Akerfeldt was a stretch.

I'm definitely looking forward to it, I'm gonna get the Special Edition for sure this time (couldn't find a copy of The Human Equation SE ).

From the Musician's/Vocalists I recognize looks like it's going to be an Epic Metal Journey!!

I can't think of why anybody wouldn't buy the normal version, Ayreon's packaging is worth the price of the album itself. Don't DL.
#29
I already heard it 100 times or something like that... it's really, really good. More dark and progressive than the human equation... more electronica and stuff like that.

Jorn Lande really shines on this album!

Along with the human equation and the final experiment one of his best albums ever!

I'm going to the release party anyway to buy the deluxe package and meet arjen again.

8 days. Thought you should know. I've managed to keep myself from listening to the leak. I'm buying it on Friday for sure though.

Can anyone describe what Ayreon sounds like to me. Is it similar to Therion? I love Therion.

They borrow sounds and styles from all over the place and include a lot of vocalist in each album. Very progressive and, to me, metal is really only one of the genres playing, not THE genre.

Also, he only releases concept albums.

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to describe. It's like a mix between folk/jazz/classical/metal/rock/techno/progressive and pretty much every other genre.

My friend has been listening to Ayreon nonstop for 4 months straight. Just...wow. 01011001 is genius to him. I tell him to diversify and he starts listening to Opeth for a few songs then goes back to Ayreon in a few minutes.

I still think it is a superb album, I don't think anything will top this release in 2008 for me.

I've been to a small acoustic set he played at a local cd shop. He did some ayreon songs featuring Marjan (singer on the new album) on vocals. Really cool performance. I also bought the deluxe edition. The dvd is really great, fun to see all those singers in his studio!

After the show I met Arjen once again, little chit-chat... Really nice guy, got my cd and a poster signed and all.

I'd HIGHLY recommend everything Arjen has ever brought out.
#39
I hope we have it here in Oz within reasonable time, I want it! (we usually have to wait for it to ship to us )

The new album is incredible

Jorn Lande's and Hansi Kürsch's performances are great! And Daniel Gildenlöw and Jonas Renkse really bring their own elements to it and make it even better
