Couple of questions about cabs i didn't find in the faq: 1. is it a bad idea to mix up brands/models? I have a 100 watt vox that im going to use as a head but through an MG cab. Will it not make a difference? Also, when connecting with cabs, can i use normal instrument cables, or will i need specific connecting 1/4" cables? Will I NEED these types of cables for hooking up my talkbox or will normal cables be fine (despite the recommendation in the manual to not use instrument cables)? Any help's appreciated.

Definitely don't use instrument cables.

You can mix and match all you want as long as the ohms match up.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Mixing brands is fine, loads of people do it. And do NOT use an instrument cable to connect them. They can't handle the load very well. You have to use speaker cables instead.
