For those of you who are interested, I started defretting my old Yamaha RBX270. So far, from all of the online tutorials of people describing their experiences with defretting, my experience has been unique.

Others have described their fret removal as a long and strenuous process, taking up to 2 hours to complete. I sat here at my computer while tearing these frets out, and it took me about an hour to remove all 24. It was an easy process on heating the frets up with a soldering iron to melt the glue and popping the frets out with a screwdriver.

Right now I'm waiting for my filler to dry before i do another layer of sanding. More to come!
