I have been given an assignment on waveforms and i just need a push in the right direction. so i don't know why i came to the pit.

I just need to know a bit about sound waveforms. the stuff in Wikipedia just isn't sinking in and i'm really stressing out over it. the kind of stuff i think their looking for is...how different waves travel through mediums or how a wave can be characterised. if any of you could help you'd be the new messiah, in my books anyway.

oh and please don't make stupid posts like waves form when the wind blows on the sea or whatever.

Thanks
