Should i get this amp? I only play metal and lead guitar. I dont want a sound like a line 6 spider 3 75 does, i have it and i dont like it. Or if there is any other amp out there under 500 dollars that is good for metal? Thanks.

umm...i dunno..might be alright, not very loud, i think it's sorta more of a rock amp...borg, and randall are good for metal, and ....i cant remember the name...marshall haha, but only marshall if you have a good petal...also depends on what kinda metal your playing...slipnot? or job for a cowboy? dillinger escape plan? etc

The cube is great, much better then the Line 6. Buy it, but if you want louder get the Cube 60.

It doesn't fit my playing style at all so I figured it would be good for me

A guy at my school has the Micro Cube and plays metal with it and sounds good, so i guess the Cube 30 would be better.

$500? Try for a used tube amp. I got my Peavey XXX ($950) for $450, so you may be able to snag a nice tube amp.

Hell, even a used Fender tube amp for $400 + a nice pedal will do nicely, my Peavey sounds better on it's mediocre clean channel with my Digitech pedal than the hailed amp's own distortion/drive.
