My first view is what's the damn point?

My second view is don't be childish/

My final view is that this is gonna be a stupid thread.

It is slightly childish I know, but it's a good distraction from other things in the world.

Yeah, I'm from the black country (Midlands, England) so I dunno if its "our thing" or what.

Also I want to know what americans call it, can't think of a movie where they call it anythin but food.

Breakfast is Breakfast morning meal.
Lunch is lunch - Early afternoon meal.
Dinner used to be at times like 4 o'clock, but then people realised that they were getting hungry in the evening, so they put dinner in the evening, and put tea as a mid-late afternoon snack based around drinking tea, possibly with a crumpet or something.

Breakfast - Morning
Lunch/Dinner - Noon
Tea - Early Evening
Supper - After Tea.

What he said.

Dinner is at dinnertime, like 12:30pm ish, that's when we have dinner.
Teatime is at like 5:30pm, and we have tea then
I hope it doesn't seem, like I'm young, foolish, and green.

I call it tea. I think it's a northern thing, really. A loser flatmate of mine used to call it supper, but that's what you have before you go to bed.

I think tea is more of a European thing.

Generally in the USA it goes:

Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner/Supper
Dessert

Except dessert is really optional but the other 3 are more core.

thats wierd, dinner can mean either lunch or supper here, supper is the 3rd meal, and tea is a beverage, dammit
i need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah.
#25
Desert is pudding, its not a meal in itself

Dinner be the evening meal and lunch be the midday meal even if it's a large Sunday lunch (ie the biggest meal of that day). THIS IS IRREFUTABLE FACT.

What do you call your evening meal ?
This question is flawed.

Define evening.

Your poll is flawed.

Supper is not a choice.
Don't try to weasel out of it saying "use other." It's NOT the same.

"Me and a friend have had this argument go on for too long now."

Your statement is flawed.

A friend and I ...
