Oooh, if you can find it, listen to:

Near Fantastica (Acoustic) by Matthew Good.

It's got such a wonderful solo.

I think this is the correct tablature:

eb|----------14---------------------------------------------
Bb|-11s12-12---12-------------------------------------------
Gb|--------------12-12h14-----------------------------------
Db|----------------------12h14------------------------------
Ab|---------------------------12-----------5-7b8-5----------
Eb|-------------------------------0-0-0-3-5-----------------

------------------------------------------------------------|
--------------------------------(0)-(0)---------------------|
-9b10b9-7--2-4-4-2---------------4---2------(7)-7-9b10-7----|
------------------4bh5-4s2-2-------------4h5------------5-7-|
----------------------------5-(2)---------------------------|
------------------------------------------------------------|

eb|---------------------------------------------------------|
Bb|---------------------------------------------------------|
Gb|-7-9b10------7-9-9b10-----9b10--7-9-11-14-14-14-14-14-12-|
Db|---------------------5-7---------------------------------|
Ab|-------9-7-5---------------------------------------------|
Eb|---------------------------------------------------------|

------------------------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------------------|
--7-9b10-7-------7--9b10-7--11-11s14-14-14------------------|
-5---------5-7--7----------7--------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------------------|

I'm not good with tabs so I can't analyze it for you. If I could find the standard notation I could, but that's not gonna happen.

no i need to know how to write one on my own, not copy, just what do i learn it from? a scale or something?

Knowing the scale isn't going to make you play a better solo. It's mostly in the phrasing. Try the phrasing article here in the lessons section

I know, I was just offering an example of a great acoustic solo. I guess that's not your learning style.

you should post the chord progression so we can tell you what scales sound pleasing over top of them. The key to a good solo is choosing the right scales to go over the chords and then fuc king around with it to make melodies and hooks.
Tool kicks ass
