basically im really interested to know whether it is a good idea or not to get a pre amp and power amp rack instead of a combo or head.

im really curious as to the benefits/ drawbacks of having them separate instead of in a combo or stack.

I would be really grateful of advice about advantages and benefits of pre amp and power amp rack gear.

Advantages of a rack:
You can choose different parts of the amp seperately, as opposed to buying one combo
They tend to have many options to choose from, and have built in FX

Disadvantages:
bloody expensive
wiring it up can be a hassle

I say only get a rack if you're not satisfied with any amp. Or if you use a million tones.
