Who cares? This is a guitar forum, you're preaching to the choir.

Start telling people who don't care about music.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

By hits, they mean songs on the Billboard charts or whatever. That doesn't mean they don't have other great songs, it just means that they only had one on the charts.

Believe it or not, by the actual definition of "one hit wonder", Jimi Hendrix is one as well.

Ya but technically Jimi hendrix is too, Purple Haze is the song that was on the hits list, but i do agree thye are a very good band who are under-rated by most people.

edit: i think it was purple haze.. it may have been all along the watch towers but he still only had one song the hits list.
Yertle the Turtle was king of the pond.
A nice little pond. It was clean. It was neat.
The water was warm. There was plenty to eat.
The turtles had everything turtles might need.
And they were all happy. Quite happy indeed.

I don't think enough people know how awesome Deep Purple. Ritchie Blackmore is a beast and Ian Gillan is a great singer. More people need to listen to these folks.
#14
That doesn't make them hits, retard. Hendrix was a one-hit wonder here in America. He only had All Along the Watchtower as a hit.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.

good times. But who cares really? so many bands/musicians get way more credit then any mortal deserves. They're just normal people, stop drooling and go practice so maybe one day, nerds will be telling everyone else how amazing you were.

*this post was not directed at anyone in particular, just those people who think their special classic rocks bands/artists are the end all be all*

Hmmm...I wouldnt say they were a one hit wonder band, but Smoke on the Water was definately their biggest song by far.
#21
