its a really good pedal. has killer distortion with max tone and max dist with mid level

dont crank the level too much though, blow your amp in the process.....

oops.....shoulda known better with the p.o.s. i had...

but for most of what you need, it will do that, and beyond

The ds-1 works well as a boost on the gain channel of your amp, but they all seem to sound really thin i think.

I own BD-2 and DS-1, and I love em both. BD-2 more though.

DS-1's definitely have their place, particularly for use as distortion in poor quality solid state amps. But still, I think they're cute little pedals. Cheap and decent, which is always a nice combination.
