i made a thread a wile ago, and i wanted a small tube amp, and i got one(valve junior)
now i need a bigger amp for band situations, I play classic rock and older punk rock, any suggestions? (don't say valveking because i just don't like them, don't know why) i'm not really sure of a budget becuase i got a job and don't mind saving up, but let's say under $800.

Check out Traynor's.
Ibanez AFS75/Fender Strat Plus > Fulltone Deja' Vibe > Keeley TS808 MOD+ > Fulltone OCD > VanAmps SoleMate > Metro JTM45

I'll second the Marshall, it should be good for what you play. Also, check into Laney, maybe a VC or something.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

where can i get a dsl for under 800?!?!?
that would be sick!

Used... I wouldn't ever suggest buying an amp new, you can get so much more for the price used.

Why do you not like buying used? Most tube amps are built like tanks so really, there's not much that could be wrong with them besides bad tubes, unless you can physically see it's been pretty badly beaten up.

yeah i guess, i was thinking a fender hot rod deluxe, or a peavey classic, but i really meant i don't like buying off of ebay, without playing that exact amp and stuff but if i can find a used one around here i will definetly look give it a nice look

Oh yeah, neither do I, I'd rather play the amp first to make sure nothings wrong with it and be able to walk away with it in my hands.

Since when is a Traynor a high-gain amp?

I'd say Traynor YCV40WR or YCV50Blue, Peavey Classic 30, Crate V32, something along those lines

My comment wasn't to the Traynor, there was another post above me about the TS needing a hi-gain amp, must've deleted it.

i haven't tried a traynor out but from their descriptions they sound like they'd do what i needed, but i'll have to try them out
