Well, ur asking at 12:00 North America Central time, so most americans r sleeping, so id imagine ud get mostly 'zed' answers, but in america its 'zee'

ZEE. why? think about it. the sound ZEE makes sounds like Z the letter. Z sounds nothing like Zedeee. When have you ever heard a Z pronounced as Zed anyway? that's just lame. ZEE all the way.

My British math teacher pronounces it both ways.

WTF it's zee, do you guys pronounce other letters weird?
IMO, you don't add letters to a letter (D in the Z??)

a lot of letters are pronounced differently individually rather than in a word. whens the last time you said aychome instead of home because thats how 'h' is pronounced?

i say zee, but thats only due to my american accent.

Ah bey say day uh ef zjay osh ee gee ka el em en oh pay

kew err ess tay oo vay doo-ble-vay eeks egrek zed.

Seriously, its only Americans really that say zee. I despise the constant pressure for the world to conform to America!!! Hence i will continue saying ZED

Zee sounds too much like C

America is ****ed.

If it was meant to be "zed," then Zebras would be called Zedbras. Case closed, "zee" wins.

Silly septic tanks, you take the english language, pronounce and spell things incorrectly and think the right ways "weird"

Oh and by the way your post is hypocritical you add "ee" and we add "ed"
#37
One of them actually sounds like the sound it makes. The other has a d in there for some unexplained reason.

p.s. yeah, i know there's a reason. "zed" sounds more like "zeta", but then again, "zee" sounds less like ass.

In Australia Zebra is pronounced Zebra.

As opposed to Zeebra.

It appears that the average American is somewhat obsessed with keeping things the way they are within their own country, and ignoring the rest of the world...

Dragonforce? I don't even know what that is. Isn't it that Japanese card game "Dragon Force Z"?

zed is the traditional way of saying it. the original and proper way is zed.

zee is used by americans, and english-speakers who adopt the american way of speaking. i dont know why, but america decided to change a lot of words, for example mum (spelled mom in america).

zed is right, but zee is how americans, and therefore the most of ug will say it.
