I used to find "bunyan" extremely hilarious as a child. And of course, words that related to sex or sex organs were funny to me as a child. But luckiily for me, I matured (enough to not find them funny).

I can't hold back laughter when any of my teachers say "duty"

Last year, in my Philosophy class, my teacher was having a whole lesson on "civil duty" and I couldn't stop laughing
Catch me,

Not a word, per se, but the name Sherman makes me laugh.

When someone calls the **** poop.

Or when someone calls the **** a Boris.

Or when someone calls the **** "hang on, I've just gotta drop some rebel scum in the sarlaac pit."

Pretty much anything to do with **** really.

That makes me think of Gir...

Gir: *snickers*
Zim: "What??"
Gir: "Duty"

Wow, that's a lot funnier on TV than written down in a forum.

I'm thinking it's because they say it like "doodie" instead of the correct way to say it, "dew-tee".

the word "Munted" always cracks me up
But there's no sense crying over every mistake, you just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

What about words you take seriously? Like ubiqutous, antidisestablishmentarianism, auspicious, cogitate or hippopotomonstrosesequipedaliaphobia? Mind you, I take most words fairly seriously.

When my old v'ball coach said, "off" though, that cracked me up. She says it, "oof". Haha.

I love being English, people pronounce 'duty' the way it's meant to be.

Preposterous always makes me laugh. I don't know why, probably because someone will just sound so strange saying it.
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

-Matthew Arnold

Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing.

Its really more like 'doody' over here. That's what makes it funny.

We Americans will try and get away with articulating as little as possible. Oh us!

Not a funny word, but the other day someone in a class of mine used the word 'subterfuge' in proper context and the whole class reacted audibly. It was rather humorous.

I cracked up really bad once when a friend went AFK, then when he came back he apologized and said something about "A big brown barbarian at the gates" it's not even that funny.
And I don't find 'duty funny at all, because over here, we pronounce it "D-You-Tee"

3 years ago i was on vacation at my grandmas house in NC and me and my cousins were getting to sleep when out of nowhere i just started laughing and every little stupid thing that came up made me laugh more.

I kept everyone up in that room for 3 hours and it sucked because my cousins just got there from a 7 hour drive and really wanted to sleep

It was one of those "had to be there to understand" moments
