I'm trying to install this game i just got called Tarr Chronicles. Whenever I try and run the game though, I get an error like:

d3d.CreateDevice failed(Intel (R) 82945G Express Chipset Family)

I've tried pretty much everything I could think of to fix it. Got the newest version of direct x, latest drivers for my video card, tried taking out the d3d and directx dll's from the game folder, playing with the texture quality in the video setup etc. But to no avail.

My specs are more than enough to run this game:

Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.0 Ghz processor
2 Gb RAM
256 Mb Video Card memory

ANyone know what the problem could be?

^ Ah I hadn't thought of that. That actually is somewhat plausible, since the game just came out last month....damn I hope that's not it.

I'd definitely shoot them an email or check the message board like Archaon said. I'm sure if you tell them your PC specs they'll let you know what's up.

Is your graphics card an Intel? If so, you'll find you can't play a lot of games.

Are you running Vista?

Vista drivers (especially video) are premature and tend to fail on lesser known titles. They address issues based on priority.
