Soon after I got the new Norton I knew it was a waste of money (thank god I didn't buy it) Theres not even an off button on the damn thing so you have to literally uninstall it if you want to turn it off. Which is the stupidist thing that Norton has ever done which pisses me off because it wasn't that good to start with.

Anyhow, are there any good free (I don't want to buy a Virus Protector) replacements instead of Norton. Thanks for everyone who answers seriously.

I've heard AVG free is good, agreed. My friend says that this program NOD32 is amazing, although you have to pay for it.

Norton sucks, I have it too.

EDIT: I don't just have Norton. I have Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware SE Personal, and ZoneAlarm (all free).

One time I had this chick setting on my lap, sucking on my neck, unbuttoning my pants when one of my friends walked in and ruined the whole thing. To be fair though, she was his girlfriend.

Shoopin' that whoop since before you were born, son.

Norton Anti-Virus is horrible, but the Firewall is pretty decent.

I haven't used an anti-virus in a long time, just use Firefox and don't open anything stupid and you'll be fine.

But back when I did use one, AVG worked fine, wasted resources for any half inteligent computer user however

eTrust Anti-Virus. Only the demo is free. I reckon Norton makes the viruses then makes you buy the protection. Kinda like when a girl teases you all night then when you get into bed she makes you go down the street to buy a condom.

Yeah when I had Norton for free for 60 days or something when I got my computer and I didn't like how it made my computer run but I needed a good antivirus and I didn't know much about them. I've had some problems with some of the free ones like AVG so I went to Best Buy to buy an anti virus and they recommended me two programs that took up way less memory and were better than Norton and were the same price as Norton. One was $40 and one was $30. Haven't had any problems and it's been almost a year.

I've never had a problem with AVG, much because i very rarely get viruses. I'm pretty concious of where i download from, and if its cracks i run then and then delete them (they get flagged as viruses anyway).

so, Free = AVG

Paid = NOD32
