Do any of you guys listen to Chris Potter?

I saw him with a buddy of mine the other night, and I must say, he's one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen. Never really listened to too much jazz before, but I've been hooked on him lately.

Can anyone recommend anyone that sounds similar to him? I'm a beginner when it comes to jazz.

Yeah, I listen to him and he's pretty unique in the stuff he's doing up in NYC. A friend gave me his album with Adam Rogers "Follow the Red Line: Live at Village Vanguard" I think it is, and that's really great. Also "Underground Quartet" and "Lift: Live at Village Vanguard" are real greats, especially his cover of stella on Lift yum.

Underground and Concentric Circles are good.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.
