So i have a digitech Rp80 wich i find to be pretty crappy but i would like to use the wah feature because i can't really afford a new one right now but every time i plug it into my amp the pedal cancels out my amps distortion and other settings and just uses the settings on the pedal which sound like **** is this somthing that can be fixed or am i stuck like this

your kind of stuck, i was stuck with an rp50...so i shared your annoyance. but ya, just alter the settings on the pedal

So, your saying that when you use the RP80 you cant use your amps distortion?\

I have that unit and that never happened to me.

If you wanna use your amps distortion, make sure the RP80 is on a clean setting first, then use your amps distortion. Still probably wont sound the exact same though, due to the using the RP 80's clean setting to use your distortion.

well, it is possible to not use a amp model at all and just use effects, compression, ect.
