What do you think are the most energetic songs, albums, bands, concert footage (especially on dvd) you've ever seen?

I'm just looking for some more music to check out, especially concert dvds. Genre doesnt really matter, as long as the band rages.

Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine. Anything from that album

Appetite for Destruction is pretty intense too in my opinion.

look up my sweet shadow live by inflames on youtube, theres a great one where the sound is incredible and the crowd is really into it.

Hm - I heard a song by Rollins Band a while ago, and it seemed to have one lyric, "DO IT!!!", which was screamed over and over again. Is that what the band was like, or do I just have crappy memory? It was a really long time ago.

To state the obvious, The Mars Volta .

And I was just watching this Iggy and the Stooges cover by RHCP, and it rocks

And what is more, there's been a bloody purple nose and some bloody purple clothes that were messing up the lobby floor. It's just apartment house rules so all you 'partment fools remember : one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

Leniency? In the metal forum? This is unheard of. People get massacred here for just walking by.

I don't really class that as music..

at least not the "vocals".

Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of metalcore.

Killswitch Engage, Bleeding Through, As I Lay Dying, early A7X, early Trivium..

But at least they had/have SOME clean vocals...screaming throughout a song doesn't really do anything for me.

Funny you should say that. In the last few months, the only things I've been listening to while I work out are Metallica's Cunning Stunts DVD, their S&M DVD (or CD) and Rammstein's Völkerball CD/DVD. Nothing like metal to get you motivated.

I've just had a great thread idea.

Oh, energetic music. I thought from the title this was going to be an energetic thread. About music.

The Living Ends Prisoner of Socitity is amazing for energy, well most of there stuff is. Blood on your Hands just makes me want to hit something

or Jaw Knee Music and other NoFX songs are amazing aswell.

You keep seeing songs like KoC, SMBH, and Hysteria showing up on games, but I want Micro Cuts on either Rock Band or Sing Star. I want to see numerous masses of kids staring at the tv wondering what the hell they're supposed to do.

Well I'm going for live bands: Otep, Mindless Self Indulgence, Misfits, Suicide City, Iggy & The Stooges, and Balzac.

To think I'm going to be seeing 3 of those bands later this month is friggin awesome.

the ramones iggy pop and the stooges, black flag, basicly all punk is good live (except blondie, terrible live show)

Oh. Too bad, they put on a hell of a show.

I saw them in April and sang with Iggy!

Not to mention I got the setlist and a guitar pick.

Good times.

if i got a guitar pick from the stooges, i would put it in a glass case and never open it.

the dead boys also put on a great show, but they broke up a while ago. but their music is really energetic.

I do have the guitar pick in a case, along with all the other guitar picks I've gotten over the past few years.

One of my favorites is my Tony Iommi pick.

You don't say.

I'll see if I can get a picture from my phone on to the site. I can't find the chord that connects my camera to my computer.
