So I am repainting my LTD M-50 and I am going to paint the neck. Is there anything I need to do before sanding it down. Also, would regular painters tape work to cover the top part of the headstock and the fretboard?

Feed my eyes, can you sew them shut?

im in the same boat as you. would priming correctly and finishing correctly give the back of the neck the same smooth feel?

I imagine you could use the same steps as painting the body.
And painter's tape will work.
