so i've been trying to play a couple songs that require a lot of sustain but i can't seem to get any. i've heard that a set in neck will give you more sustain and i have a set neck but it doesn't seem to help. What do i need to do to get more?

well you could get a sustain pedal, or a distortion like the EHX big muff pi that has a built in sustain controll. Or it could be operator error. Make sure you are fretting very cleanly and are not pressing down to hard on the string

or a new amp...

or maybe just a distortion/od or a sustain pedal

i run a LP through a Big Muff into a Marshall and its STILL hard for me to get that insane Santana-esque sustain, but itll do it

I can't believe that noone has mentioned it yet, but maybe you get no sustain because you have a spider.
What channel are you using it on?
