what are some songs you won't admit were hard to learn right away?

for me:

woman - wolfmother (just that one riff)
far away - nickelback
thunderstruck - ac/dc
#2
the one riff in for whom the bell tolls (you know the one)

took me like 20mins to get
#3
actually far away was pretty easy for me

Savin Me on the other hand
i still wanna shoot myself for trying to learn
and some off parts in "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits throw me off too

I hope that was when you first started playing, cause it's pretty easy. ATM i can't get the first bit of the fade to black solo, it's really angering me

Creeping Death main riff is takin me a while to get aswell. it's the picking sequence

^Likewise Fade To Black, the fast part in the first solo. It haunts me because I can do the last solo cleanly but that first fast bit always makes me screw up.

i actually found the whole first solo to be incredibly easy to learn, even that little fast part. i guess certain things are harder for certain people.

m&m's by blink 182. ha. its actually a lot like thunderstruck. a ton of annoying pulloffs. the tabs i found kinda sucked so i learned it by ear. took me around around 15 minutes.

for the record i dont like classic rock, or metal, or classical guitar. so i never play things i dont enjoy listening to.

No i mean the main solo, i've got the intro solo down. pretty easy. I'm on about the solo at the end of the song. Where it goes E(bend) B A F# all semi qauvers over and over again, can't seem to get the movement with my fretting hand.

...i've just appeared to of managed it...it's kinda made my night!! now for the rest of the solo *sighs*

When i first started playing i remember how hard it was to learn "Photograph" by Def Leppard. But one that has me now is "Round and Round" by Ratt.

I had a bit of trouble with that one.. i had been playing for about a year... it wasn't so much the riff it self, it was just playing it to tempo for how ever many bars your suppose to play it... now the variation of it where it plays it and descends then ascends and does the harmony, that took me a bit longer.

The MOP main solo, the opening bit to that is takin me a while to get. also playing the opening riff to it. i can play it but i will still make mistakes.

I struggled with the acoustic bit on WMUWSE; I wanted to learn barre chords and it seemed like a good place to start.

when i first started playing i was able to play almost every nirvana song, but i couldnt remember the order the chords go in for in bloom, i just couldnt do it i dont know why. the other day me and my friend played it for kicks and giggles and i improv'd the whole thing perfectly. that just shows what a few years of solid practice and knowledge of theory will go, you dont even have to learn songs you can just play them automatically

that slow part of Master of Puppets before it goes into the double...
took forever to learn for some reason... not sure, but it bothers me still just thinking about it

Raining Blood.

Hardest part is the triplets, still don't have them perfectly.

Everlong - Foo fighters. It took me ages to try and get the rhythm pattern right, but as soon as I got that everything seemed to get way easier.

the intro to stairway to heaven. I wasn't dilligent about practicing fingerpicking before so I was quite rusty. I've got it down now though.
