I was just reading about someones idea for a n64 guitar, sounded like a bad idea, sorry...

Anyways, how tight would it be if you gutted an n64 and put an amp head in it (like someone suggested), and THEN gut some games and turn them into effects! 2 contacts could be a power supply, and you could have an effect an effect in and out, all within the game cartridge, i mean, they're big enough. IE, james bond is some reverb, super smash gives you distortion etc. Then you could even install dials and junk into the games so diddy kong racing has like 4 knobs sticking out.

Someone do this please!

Diddy Kong Racing is my favourite game ever...

i love the idea just because you mentioned three of the greatest games from N64... i would have creamed if your idea mentioned Ocarina of Time...

My amp is so loud, it has no number system.

It's only rated in decibels of loud and louder.

I'd see Goldeneye more as Loads of Gain, seeing as it's clearly the greatest game ever.
I Disagree. Although Goldeneye is a very good game, I beleive Ocarina of Time is the greatest game every.

I'm doing it.
I have a random Ibanez practice amp laying around, just the chassis, cause the speaker blew. It should fit.

bad a$$ dude, please post pics!

That's a more interesting idea. I know I said it's dumb for a guitar but it seems better to use it for stuff like that. I've seen people make computers out of these things so why not an amp head or a stomp box. I may just do that one of these days...

Its huge man. You could fit probably 8 effects circuits in there.

There's an idea, multi effects unit. Everyone talks about those modelling processors not being as good as the real stompboxes so why not make a multi with real effects inside. Or maybe I'm an idiot.

No, its a good idea. It would probably be way better sounding and better quality than most multieffects unit. I might do that instead. An NES on ebay is like $20-25, same price as a big enclosure.

I actually have an old NES that is functional but not entirely. It tends to do that blinking thing out of nowhere in the middle of a game. Maybe I'll try the same idea or just try selling it to someone with the same hopes.

ahhh, that's awesome, but have the games as separate preamp sections, so you'd have a blues cartridge, a metal cartridge etc!
