Hi all, I'm currently playing a Mex-Strat with stock pickups, and I'm looking to upgrade. I want something with a pretty vintage sound, as I usually play classic rock, or bluesy rock. My price range is around $200, but if I come across something really eye-catching I could probably save up some more to go higher. I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks all

I can't remember the Brian May amp, but if your MG is your main amp, I'd upgrade before upgrading pickups. As far as pickups go, I'd spend about $50 more than your current budget and get a custom set.

Well I've heard good things about DiMarzio pickups

Affordable and nice sounding etc.

But I'm yet to try them out for myself..

But it shall happen. Oh yes. It shall.

Unfortunately, it's not the AC30 Brian May edition, it's a 15 watt recording version. While it does give excellent tone, it's no AC30, and while we're at it, if anyone can recommend some good tube amps in the lower price range I would love to hear about it.
