i'm really confused about Vox AD50VT footswitches. the VFS2 pedal uses a stereo-jack output, much like this:

but would this work? because marshall make another one which on gak is £6 more expensive, for MG, which says "DFX" under button 2 instead of "Chorus". is there really a difference?

thats why i'm confused. will any 2 button footswitch work for the Vox amp, or is it firmwared to only work with the VFS2, because its digital?

Most 2 button switches should work fine. In fact many have built their own and they work. The switch is purely mechanical so there's no firmware involved.

The Vox footswitch is just 2 switches in a box, wired to a stero plug. Brutally simple. You could build one for cheep if you wanted, I'd wager. My old VFS2 worked with 3 or 4 different 2 channel SS DFX-equipped amps. Pretty standard stuff, I think.

ok thats good, cus i don't really wanna fork out £25 on a vox pedal when i can get a cheaper one that works just as well.
