The only thing bad about aluminum guitars is their sensitivity to temperature. I played a few old Kramers and a Travis Bean years ago. If you brought them in out of the cold you had to really be careful to let them warm up to room temperature before playing. The heat of your hands caused them to be slightly out of tune as they warmed. If the aluminum is just a top plate and the rest is carbon fiber that wouldn't be a consideration, but it won't sound warm and have the harmonic richness of a traditional wood guitar.

That looks sweet.

How would an all-carbon fibre guitar sound?
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.
Be Serious.

Probably very very bright. Brighter than an ebony guitar methinks.

Oh, drat. Perhaps a carbon fibre top might be a compromise.
