Ok...
Im in a high school jazz band..
and i have 24bars given -- 2choruses of 12bar blues
chord progression is
Dm7 Dm7 Dm7 Dm7
Gm7 Gm7 Dm7 Dm7
Bb7 A7 Dm7 Dm7

and my instructor stongely wants me to use strictly blues scale..

ive made pretty decent solos like rock and stuff but i know nothing
about solo in jazz especially bass cuz bass rarely does solo
so.. can you recommend me songs with bass solo please?
thanks

The Chicken By Jaco Pastorius is not in a blues but it does give you some ideas on what you can do.
This statement is false.

aeroplane by rhcp has kinda of a jazzy funky punk type solo thing..... *said from deep under flame proof ground*

when Moses brought down the plagues upon Egypt one of them involved Behringer amps

Just improvise, bro. Take a bar from a famous song and throw it in so that people recognize it or something, and expand on it.

but the problem is i can't improvise a jazz style solo; my improv sounds like
rock solo and i dont know much about jazz. and i dont have jazz songs with
bass solo to taken licks from..
