any ideas on indie chords? Anything babyshambles/libertines/sunshine underground. I would post this in my normal thread but I have a feeling it will get overlooked. Either way, this might be a good thread to discuss chords which people find popular in alternative song writing.
Please share your ideas.

I should imagine that they use just basic chords as they like to keep their music basic, could be wrong though

Generally I like to keep it major. Although to get an indie sound sometimes it's good to use major sevenths. But overuse can sound pretty cheesy. Give it at try anyway!

Maj7 chords are always good, along with suspended chords. But just like Johnny Truant said, everything needs to be used in moderation or else it just sounds boring.
