What do you guys think of it? Is it good for blues/John Mayer stuff? I'm going to be using a Fender HSS Strat through it. Thanks in advance!

^uhh...would you take blues/john mayer stuff as genre?

and...amplifying a guitar signal as purpose

Well My budget is really between 100 and 200. I'm gunna mic it for gigs.

i assume those are dollars...
i dunno man. i haven't tried it, but i guess it's slightly worse than the valvetronix...

alternatives would be:
-epiphone valve junior combo and an overdrive pedal (digitech bad monkey perhaps)
(i think this would be your best bet)
-vox valvetronix

i'll see if i can think of some more

the cate v8 i think would be perfect for that... everytime i play through it i can dial in that perfect tube tone and it does exceptionally well with the fenders ive tried.
