Just a quick question.

How do I find out how much RAM I have (Windows XP) and how do I get more?

right click my computer > properties then it will show you how much RAM you have.

to upgrade ram, figure out what type your motherboard supports then and buy more.. simply open up your computer clase, press down both locks on the ram and it will pop out, then push the new stick in.

My Computer > Right Click > Properties

Will be under the Computer info. I think you can add sticks of ram in the back of your tower for more.

The command dxdiag will let you know, so will your BIOS POST screen. Don't expect Microsoft to tell you how much memory you have, they just want you to buy more, no matter what.

Press windows key + pause break.

You buy it and install it.

But how do I buy it

Do I just walk into Wal-Mart and say "I need to buy some RAM."?

Basically.. I wouldn't go to wal-mart though. Try BestBuy, Comp USA, etc.

Alright, thanks

Cause I want to play WoW (I got it for free today ) and it needs 512 mb RAM and I only have 384

I like to use NewEgg for anything I buy and can't get locally. I buy memory from them because I am bias to Corsair brand and I cannot find a shop that sells it locally. OCZ and Patriot also make good memory. I assume if your computer is relatively new it uses DDR and I would suggest at a minimum a 1GB matched pair 2GB would be better in the long run. If you are using Vista I suggest a 2GB minimum. Good luck.
